A Week in the Life 2/7

Happy Valentine’s Day!! This was actually a somewhat beautiful week in Amherst as we finally got some days in the 50s. Spring is on its way! This week the semester started to pick up and I had three quizzes towards the end of the week. I’ve been staying busy with maintaining my school work, field hockey (this week was our last 8 hour week so we start 20 hour ones this upcoming week), and with the Women in Business club. Now that I have more time in the off season I have been trying to get more involved by joining more subcommittees of the group like the marketing committee.

This week I got an iced caramel macchiato from my current favorite place, the Isenberg Cafe and the barista wrote “What’s meant for you will find you” on the cup. This quote resonated with me because I love the theory about what’s meant to be will be and everything happens for a reason. I think this is even a perfect quote for all of those single today (Valentine’s day) who envy those in relationships. Nothing is worth having if it isn’t right for you. Good things come to those who wait. 🙂

As for other news I have further made job plans for the summer and returned to Elizabeth Ann’s this weekend. I love working the weekends January-April when the prom store is a frenzy and I am on my feet all day. This summer I will be interning with Cape Cod Field Hockey during June!! So exciting! We will put Lilly Pulitzer on hold for now. However, that won’t keep me from shopping there all the time…

This week I will also be posting my first haul. I picked up my package from Hadley Rose Boutique on Sunday and I am so excited to show you guys the cute clothes I bought!! My Pura Vida package finally arrived as well! I did some damage at Target this week (they had out all their Saint Patrick’s stuff already…) so there will also be a Target part of the haul.

As for my essentials this week they were all mostly food related. I have been loving my “Chipotle” bowls for dinner. Rice, steak, green peppers, onions, and guac. Lots and lots and lots of guac. That has recently been my go to dinner. I go in waves with kombucha, but this week has been a big kombucha week. My favorite flavor is the blue sacred life. I’m a huge carbonation girl. Except, the funny thing is I’m not a soda person. Morgan Wallen was a staple on my playlist this week especially on warm days. My favorite songs from Dangerous: The Double Album right now are 865,wasted on you, and warning. However, Whiskey Glasses is my all time favorite Morgan Wallen song.

Overall it was a pretty solid week. Anxiety built a little as my workload continued to increase. My body has been tired from waking up at 6 every morning, but I love getting my day started early. I treated myself to a few naps and a few coffees of course. Hoping to ease into this week with warmer weather, less quizzes, and more time for reading (not going to lie I didn’t touch American Wife this week). Taking the time to set my intentions and spread my love!!

Xoxo,
