Summer 2022 Reading List

I hope everyone’s enjoying their Memorial Day Weekend. The first official weekend of summer! I have had a very relaxing weekend spending time working out, cleaning out my room, and with family.

Since I’ve been inspired to spend less time on my phone, I have been inspired to spend more time reading. Every single time I go into Barnes and Noble, I come out with a long list of books that I add to my “To Read” list. This is an extension of the piles of books under my desk that I plan on reading. Right now, I am currently reading Beautiful Day by Elin Hilderbrand which is about a wedding that takes place on Nantucket. Hilderbrand is one of my favorite summer authors because all of her books have a nautical aesthetic. I am also reading Tuesdays in 1980. I don’t often read two books at once, but sometimes I like to switch up.

However, once I finish those, I have a mountain of books to take on next. So I thought I would compile my Summer 2022 Reading List!

  • American Psycho by Easton Ellis
  • Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
  • The Menendez Murders by Robert Rand- I absolutely love true crime documentaries and novels. I also find controversial court cases intriguing.
  • Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand- Another book set in Nantucket.
  • The Hypnotist’s Love Story by Liane Moriarty
  • When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger- This novel has been compared to The Devil Wears Prada.
  • Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld- I LOVED American Wife so I decided to add another one of her novels to my summer list.
  • The Island  by Elin Hilderbrand
  • Golden Girl  by Elin Hilderbrand
  • My Fair Lazy by Jen Lancaster- I love the cheetah print shoes on the cover. This is Jen Lancaster’s memoir.
  • Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis- I know that this book had been popular a few years ago, but I never got around to reading it!

I am aware this is a long list of books! These are all books we had in our attic with titles and descriptions that caught my attention. This may end up being more of a 2022 reading list, but I would rather have more than less! In the summer, I tend to read more because I have more time and because I love reading on the beach! Leave some books you recommend below!! Soak up the rest of this sparkly summer weekend!!
