Officially on spring break and the only thing on my mind is spring fashion. I love everything from the pastels to the flip flops. Spring in Massachusetts is fickle. One day you’re still at the mountain wearing a winter jacket and the next you’re going on a walk in shorts and a t-shirt. Here are five fashion statements I love for spring.
- SKIRTS. I am one of the biggest skirt advocates of all time. Anything from flowy skirts to short denim skirts paired with a cute top. I tend to thrift my skirts.
- Light pink and Lilly Pulitzer. Obviously pink is a year round staple, but it’s the perfect spring and summer color. I recently purchased two light pink tank tops from Target for South Carolina. I included Lilly Pulitzer with light pink because I love my pink Lilly. Especially Lilly Pulitzer for easter brunch. Her beachy patterns are a spring essential.
- Pairing jeans with a tank top. Some spring afternoons are warm enough for a tank top, but not quite shorts. Lately I have been loving my Kendall and Kylie jeans. I also get my jeans from American Eagle. As for tank tops I get them everywhere from Shein, American Eagle, Hollister, TJ Maxx, or I thrift them.
- High top converse. I’ll be honest I love my high top Converse year round but they’re so universal for the spring. You can rock them at a baseball game with jean shorts or with a cute dress for dinner.
- Pastel nails. Again, I live for pink year round. However, for my nails I tend to go darker for the fall and winter and then break out the Tiffany blues, bubblegum pinks, and the lavenders for spring. Lavender nails in the spring especially in May make me so happy. The Essie nail polish in Just the Way You Arctic gets taken out every year.
