Happy New Year!! Let’s hope 2025 is a phenomenal year of prosperity and good health. Fighting off this cold and flu season has been a bit rough- but I am ready to get back into the swing of life.
2025 is an exciting year full of promising book releases each month. Instead of providing y’all with my 2025 reading list (which I may very well still do), I decided to create a list by month of upcoming book releases for the first 6 months of the year! Enjoy and get ready to expand your TBR!
January
I am an honest and proud January hater. Admittedly, I am better about it than I used to be in the past, but I am growing tired of cold and dreary winters. Every year, I tell myself that I will pick up skiing again, but usually only engage in one or two ski outings. (I’ve always been more of an apres fan anyway). However, despite the seasonal depression, January is the perfect time to lay by the fire with a warm blanket and a good book! Here’s what’s coming this January!
- Unbecoming of Margaret Wolf by Isa Arden (January 7)
- The Kennedy Girl by Julia Bryan Thomas (January 14)
- Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros (January 21)
- Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney (January 14)
- The Crash by Frieda McFadden (January 28)
February
Luckily, things get slightly less depressing by February. The weather doesn’t get warmer… But, there’s Valentine’s Day, so there are lots of hearts and pink which I love. It’s also the shortest month and then you’re almost back to the best parts of the year. Here’s what’s coming this February!
- Back After This by Linda Holmes (February 25)
- The Last Hamilton by Jen Bergman (February 11)
- The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy (February 25)
- The Mother Next Door by Andrea Dunlop and Mike Webber (February 4)
- You Didn’t Hear This From Me by Kelsey McKinney (February 11)
March
The month of spring break and breaking out the self tan! Hopes and vibes begin to increase as the sun comes out more and there is more promise of warmer weather and spring. Of course, there’s still the occasional snow. Here’s what comes this March!
- Glory Daze by Danielle Arceneaux (March 4)
- A History of the World in 6 Plagues by Edna Bonhomme (March 11)
- Killer Potential by Hannah Deitch (March 18)
- Saltwater by Katy Hays (March 25)
April
The turning point in the year!! I love April with all of the blooming flowers and excitement about summer looming. A month full of pastels and romance novels. Here’s what comes this April!
- The Gatsby Gambit by Claire Anderson Wheeler (April 1)
- Poets Square by Courtney Gustafson (April 29)
- Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry (April 22)
- Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (April 1)
- The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits by Jennifer Weiner (April 8)
May
May might just be my favorite month of the year. It is like the Christmas Eve of summer. Sunsets are so beautiful and the nights become longer and the air grows warmer. Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial official beginning of summer. Here’s what comes this May!
- One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune (May 6)
- All We Lost Was Everything by Sloan Harlow (May 6)
- My Friends by Fredrik Backman (May 20)
June
Happy summer!! The best time to read on the beach and in the sun. For me, June is the month of Elin Hilderbrand novels and Cape Cod. This is also one of the best months to scour the used book stores. Here’s what comes this June!
- Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (June 25)
I hope this comprehensive list helps you build your TBR. I’m most looking forward to Atmosphere, One Golden Summer, and Great Big Beautiful Life! 2025 is a year full of amazing books being published and released. Which are you most looking forward to?
Xoxo,
Hannahlane
