Amidst the recent breakup between the iconic country and content duo of Briana Chickenfry (LaPaglia)  and Zach Bryan, I decided to do an additional blog post this week, unpacking their year long relationship. While gathering the information and timeline, I cannot believe they were only together for a single year. 

Bryan made the breakup public today with this Instagram story. 

May 2023

Rumors began circulating about the relationship between LaPaglia and Bryan. The duo met on May 11th at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Bryan received New Male Artist of the Year as his first ever Academy of Country Music Award. 

July 2023

On July 14th they began dating. 

August 2023

On August 25th, Bryan dropped his self-named album, Zach Bryan. Supposedly, the song Smaller Acts is about LaPaglia, specifically the line about the Mercury Lounge. The BFFs podcast featuring Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards released their 139th episode- “Bri Gets Grilled For Hiding Zach Bryan Relationship”, which is the first mention on the weekly podcast that mentions Lapaglia’s relationship with Bryan. LaPaglia posted her first photo of Bryan on August 4th captioned life lately <3. 

September 2023

On September 7, Bryan was arrested. The first feature of LaPaglia on Bryan’s Instagram was on September 27. During this month, they also purchased their dog, Boston, together. Bryan releases another shorter album, Boys of Faith, that has songs featuring Noah Kahn and Bon Iver. 

February 2024

On February 7th Zach Bryan (the album) went platinum which is a record breaking career high for Bryan.  

March 2024

On March 5th the Quittin’ Time tour begins in Chicago. The tour will continue until December 2024 with locations all across the nation. 

July 2024

Bryan and LaPaglia celebrate a year together. On the Fourth of July, Bryan released The Great American Bar Scene. The song 28 is about LaPaglia and their dog Boston. 

October 2024

On October 22nd, Bryan posted on his Instagram story announcing the breakup. LaPaglia posted a 3 minute and 53 second video speaking on the breakup. 

Reportedly, Bryan is already on the celebrity dating app, Raya. At this time, LaPaglia will be taking some time off of social media.
