It’s already August which means it’s already almost fall sorority recruitment time! I live vicariously through Southern sororities’ social media and seeing all of their work week and recruitment videos. As much as I love my New England school and New England sorority experience, there is nothing like being an outsider watching Bama Rush.
Even though it is early in the month, I thought I would compile a mini look-book inspiration for my sorority recruitment aspiring readers. Honestly, these could be staple pieces any reader could purchase for back to school and early fall fashion!
Meet The Greeks
I am not too sure of the customs at every school, but I know the night before formal recruitment begins, UMass Amherst holds a Meet The Greeks session. Meet The Greeks is the last informal time to see all of the chapters, introduce yourself, and see what each chapter has to offer prior to formal recruitment sessions. This is a relatively relaxed event, but it can never hurt to dress up a little!

Sisterhood
Sisterhood is the first round of formal recruitment. This often spans over two days where PNMs (potential new members) visit every sorority and get a general overview of what the sisterhood and sorority is all about. PNMs are often given a Panhellenic t-shirt and are given loose “requirements” of what to wear each day. At UMass (and I assume other schools) it gets dressier each day! The first day starts off very simple!

Values
Following the two days of sisterhood is the values round. At this point, you will not be visiting every sorority, but the top ones you matched with after the first two rounds of recruitment. During values you learn even more about the sisterhood and the sorority’s philanthropy. Sometimes during this day PNMs are still required to wear the Panhellenic t-shirt or they are told to dress business casual.

Preference
This is the most sentimental and most exciting round!! PNMs get to dress up and get a really special and memorable glimpse into the sisterhoods they are most interested in joining. This is the day you often see girls dressing up for on social media! I will just be linking lots of beautiful dress options! I recommend a cute pair of simple heels and stunning gold or silver jewelry.
