Noah Kahan at Fenway

The ability to see Noah Kahan play in New England, especially at Fenway Park on a warm night in July with a beautiful pink and purple sunset in the background was a blessing. Although we didn’t have the best seats, the concert was still unreal. Kahan had raw talent, dry humor, and a strong appreciation for his fans and the fact that he was playing in New England at Fenway Park. He was very personable with his audience which was essentially a sold out venue.

Kahan opened with Dial Drunk and of course closed with the classic Stick Season. Prior to the concert, I knew some of his songs, mostly the popular choruses of ones that have trended on social media. But, seeing him live and really listening to the lyrics has given me a greater appreciation for more of his music and many new songs to my summer playlist. I have a deeper love for Growing Sideways, Orange Juice, and New Perspective. My favorite songs live were Homesick, Northern Attitude, Growing Sideways, and of course Stick Season.

Besides the music, beautiful views, and the overall unreal energy of a summer concert at Fenway Park, one of my favorite parts was the fashion. My summer concert Pinterest board came to life being surrounded by bows tied into hair, flowy skirts, and cowboy boots. Denim. Denim. Denim. Not just in jeans and skirts, but as tops, dresses, and rompers. Another common theme was wearing Boston merchandise either hats or shirts. Along with really cute baseball caps, girls wore athletic dresses with preppy fun sneakers. Love. Love. Love.

Overall a 10/10 summer concert experience. We were able to get in and out of Boston quickly without missing any of the show. Kahan had The Lumineers and Gracie Abrams join him on stage which was very exciting. The show ended with beautiful fireworks over Fenway Park.
