Social media has gone wild with the release of Sabrina Carpenter’s music video for her new song Please Please Please. The three minute video features Sabrina leaving jail (she is arrested at the end of the Espresso music video) and falling in love with an infamous criminal (Barry Keoghan). Carpenter hires her actor boyfriend to play this attractive criminal who the audience wants to sympathize with but then he commits another crime again. The premise of the song is that Carpenter does not want her boyfriend to make a fool out of her or to prove others right in the fact that he is not right for her. “Heart break is one thing, my ego is another, please don’t embarrass me.” Hiring her boyfriend to play this role is the ultimate power move and screams Ken doesn’t have a good day unless Barbie looks at him.

Carpenter (recently just turned 25) is known for her show endings outros that tend to be raunchy and creative. She toured with Taylor Swift during the Eras Tour. She has starred in many TV and movie roles including Girl Meets World, Tall Girl, and The Hate u Give. Making music since 2015, Carpenter has five albums and has an upcoming album Short n’ Sweet coming in August. Please, Please, Please and Espresso are the two lead singles of the upcoming sixth album. Carpenter is also infamous for her love triangle situation with Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett. Many believe songs from Rodrigo’s Sour album are about Carpenter and Bassett. However, she has definitely been in the spotlight recently with her nonsense outros, tour with Taylor Swift, new music, and relationship with Barry Keoghan. 

Keoghan (31 years old) is an Irish actor who has also been a focus of the media after his disturbing role alongside Jacob Elordi in Saltburn. In addition to Saltburn, Keoghan has starred in Bird, Dunkirk, and Eternals. Prior to Carpenter, he dated Alyson Sandro for three years and rumors have been circulating that he fathered her child. He has also been featured in the news for being infamous for covering his mouth and face around paparazzi. 

Sabrina and Barry have been together for about six months since December 2023 and they prove to be the ultimate power couple. Keoghan acts as an example of the ideal boyfriend, only following Carpenter on Instagram and has been caught swooning while watching her perform. They make a somewhat traditionally attractive couple and their content together appears to be happy go lucky. 

When Short n’ Sweet is released, I hope we see more Keoghan features and maybe some positive and love songs about him! This is one celebrity couple I am actually rooting for!
