5 Trendy Books That Are Worth The Hype

There are always so many new books trending on social media, it can be impossible to read them all or even read them while they’re still trending! I have compiled a list of some books that were trendy in 2023 that are worth the hype and that you need to read!

#1 Happy Place By Emily Henry

Happy Place was the cutest summer beach read. I couldn’t put it down because of the spice and the enemies to lovers trope that was involved. The story took place in a cute small town in Maine which gave it the most nautical and beachy aesthetic combined with a page turner story. There were so many times when I physically could not put the book down because I felt so invested. The pink cover is also such a bonus.

#2 Daisy Jones And The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I, personally, love TJR as an author, so I would love to be biased and make this entire list just her books. But, I decided to add Daisy Jones and the Six because the writing style was so creative. The book was written in an interview style which helped you get to know all of the characters in a different way than other types of books. Also, Daisy Jones and the Six were inspired by Fleetwood Mac and the love affair between band members, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Especially with Silver Springs trending and being Reid’s exact song inspiration for the novel, I recommend reading it and then watching the Amazon Prime series!

#3 Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

This book was so wholesome! The idea of two wicked smart chemists having a love story and how everyone around them found them stand-offish but they were really just very book smart added a comedic aspect to this book. I also loved the idea of a woman in science in the 1950s making a name for herself. The dog was also the cutest thing you just wanna squeeze him! This is a must-read wholesome comedy!

#4 Verity by Colleen Hoover

In my opinion, this is Colleen Hoover’s best novel. It has the love aspect and the spice that all of her books do, but has the added mystery effect. The book is slightly creepy yet encapsulating and is a must read mystery!

#5 The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

Another really creepy but amazing book about a woman who murders her husband and then refuses to speak to anyone. There is a major plot twist that really ties the whole book together and brings in the aspect of a psychological thriller.

If you have read any of these books please feel free to let me know your thoughts below or through direct message on Instagram! I am always looking to hear what other people think about books I have read. Also feel free to let me know of any book suggestions that you have! I am currently reading Unwinding Anxiety by Judson Brewer.

Hope your Monday hasn’t been too manic! So much love!!
